Berneta Haynes recently sat down with David Britt on Columbus Connection to discuss energy equity and how to manage energy bills. On October 13, Georgia Watch and partners will host the South Columbus Energy Equity Forum at the Columbus Public Library. This FREE community event is open to all community members, advocates, leaders, and policymakers in or near Columbus.
Forum attendees will learn how to reduce their energy bills and participate in programs to manage their energy use. Experts from Southface, United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley, Enrichment Services, Georgia Power, Sierra Club, National Housing Trust, and Solar Tyme will share information on energy efficiency, water efficiency, and solar power, that have the potential to both lower energy bills and bring exciting new job opportunities to the Columbus community. If you live in or near Columbus, it’s not too late to RSVP for the forum this Saturday. Food and refreshments will be provided. RSVP here today! Let’s move the needle on energy equity through clean, affordable energy in Columbus!
