GMC recognized by health organization
Gwinnett Medical Center was recently recognized by Georgia Watch, a statewide consumer advocacy organization, for its work in several areas.
The Lawrenceville-based hospital was evaluated in Georgia Watch’s study, “Nonprofit Hospital Community Health Needs Assessments in Georgia.”
The group recognized GMC for prioritizing community needs within hospital leadership, as well as involvement of hospital leadership in “community benefit planning” and for a joint “needs assessment” conducted with the local health department and Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services.
“GMC has a long history of assessing and addressing community needs,” the study noted.
