Healthcare Access

About 1 in 10 Americans do not have health insurance coverage. This severely limits a significant part of the population from receiving comprehensive health services such as prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of disease. Adequate healthcare access also refers to the ease and affordability of obtaining health care services. Listed below, community health workers, health justice advocates, and health policy researchers will find resources and organizations looking to expand access to healthcare through areas like transportation, insurance assistance, and other sociocultural efforts.
